which are found in huge numbers throughout the waters of Britain and Europe. … The lesser sandeel
is the most commonly used as bait by anglers.They bury into the sand and on some sandy beaches at low tide you can dig a trench in the sand and collect your own eels be quick though as they are very fast.

How do i bait up a Sandeel
Use a Baiting needle is the best way ,
simply place the needle inside the eel , then slide the eel up the needle and onto the hook.
then bind with Bait elastic to keep the eel onto the hook,This will give great results .You can fish with Sandeels whole or in halfs ,sections and, on bigger Sandeels you can fillet them too, a very versatile fishing bait.
