What is it?
Solent Baits Super Squid is frozen squid soaked in our secret ingredients, then vacuum-packed and blast-frozen, stored at -31°C. We’ve tested this squid over the past few years — and it really works! It often outfishes most other baits.

What will it catch?
It attracts a wide variety of sea fish, including:

  • Bream

  • Bass

  • Cod

  • Rays

  • Dogfish

  • Smoothhounds

How do I use it?

  • Take one squid out of the packet at a time.

  • For larger fish (e.g., Cod, Bass, Smoothhounds): use a whole squid on a size 3/0 to 8/0 hook. Lash it on with fine bait elastic, ensuring the hook point remains visible.

  • For smaller fish (e.g., Bream): cut the squid into strips and use on size 4 to 1/0 hooks. Secure with bait elastic to prevent slipping.

Hook Advice:
Fishing hooks are extremely important — never use cheap hooks. Recommended hooks:

  • Sakuma Manta

  • Kamasan B940 or B950

  • Mustad (super sharp and reliable)
